Ingredients

(amounts are listed in the recipe card at the bottom of the post)

white bread

pure vanilla extract

large eggs

milk

ground cinnamon

light brown sugar

cream cheese

confectioners’ sugar (powdered sugar)

fresh raspberries

Substitutions

Try using cubed French bread, Italian bread, brioche bread, or Texas toast bread.

You can use blueberries or other fresh berries instead of raspberries.

Try adding in chocolate chips or glazed walnuts.

How to make Raspberry Cream Cheese French Toast Casserole

Step 1 - Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2 - Grease two 18.6 oz oven-safe baking dishes with butter or spray with nonstick spray.

Step 3 - On a cutting board, cut the bread into cubes, about 1 inch in size.

Step 4 - In a large bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, cinnamon, brown sugar, and ½ teaspoon vanilla together.

Step 5 - Fold the bread cubes into the egg mixture until well-saturated.

Step 6 - Using a handheld or stand mixer fitted with a whisk attachment beat the room-temperature cream cheese on medium-high speed until completely smooth.

Step 7 - Beat in the powdered confectioners’ sugar and ½ teaspoon vanilla extract until combined.

Step 8 - Drop small spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture on top of the bread mixture.

Step 9 - Then sprinkle on the raspberries. Stir gently to combine.

Step 10 - Pour the bread mixture into the prepared dishes, divided evenly.
