Pepperoni Pizza Meatloaf

This Pepperoni Pizza Meatloaf is a delicious ground beef meatloaf loaded with pizza seasonings, Pepperoni slices, and Italian bread crumbs, all wrapped around fresh mozzarella cheese and topped with warm pizza sauce.

Ingredients

(amounts are listed in the recipe card at the bottom of the post)

ground beef

pepperoni slices

chopped fresh parsley

jarred mince garlic

egg

Italian breadcrumbs

milk

seasoned salt

Italian seasoning

black pepper

Substitutions

  • Substitute ground chicken or ground turkey for the ground beef.
  • You can stuff the meatloaf with shredded mozzarella but it may not melt as smoothly as fresh.

Step 1 – Preheat the oven to 375 F.

Step 2 – On a cutting board, chop the pepperoni into small pieces.

Step 3 – Slice the mozzarella into 2 long strips.

Step 4 – Combine the ground beef, chopped pepperoni, parsley, garlic, egg, Italian breadcrumbs, milk, seasoned salt, Italian seasoning, and black pepper together in a mixing bowl.

Step 5 – Divide the meat mixture into 4 equal amounts and form each into oval patties on wax paper.

Step 6 – Place the cheese strips in the middle of two of the meatloaf patties, divided evenly.

Step 7 – Top each with another patty and seal the edges very well so that no cheese is exposed and they are shaped into two loaves. Some cheese may escape during baking anyway.

Step 8 – Place the two loaves onto a small rimmed baking sheet sprayed with non-stick spray and place in the oven. Bake for 40 minutes.

Step 9 – Remove the meatloaves from the oven and allow to rest for 10 minutes.

Step 10 – At the same time, add the pizza sauce to a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook until heated through, stirring occasionally.

Step 11 – Pour the warm pizza sauce on top of the meatloaves and serve.

Notes

  • These meatloaves are very easy to make. We have also made enough for guests and everyone raves over them.
  • We make two individual loaves. If you want to make one loaf you may need to increase the baking time.

Your recipes and tips are excellent. I was thinking if you could advise things like suitability for freezing and also how long can be kept in fridge and how much of recipe can be pre prepared . Also, recipe quantities in metric would be great for us Aussies. It would all add to your already yummy easy recipes 😊
