This Pepperoni Pizza Meatloaf is a delicious ground beef meatloaf loaded with pizza seasonings, Pepperoni slices, and Italian bread crumbs, all wrapped around fresh mozzarella cheese and topped with warm pizza sauce.
½poundground beef(or ground turkey, or ground chicken)
10pepperoni slices
1tablespoonchopped fresh parsley
½teaspoonjarred mince garlic
1egg
¼cupItalian breadcrumbs
⅛cupmilk
⅛Tablespoonseasoned salt
1teaspoonItalian seasoning
⅛teaspoonblack pepper
4ouncesfresh mozzarella cheese
1cuppizza sauce
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375 F.
On a cutting board, chop the pepperoni into small pieces.
Slice the mozzarella into 2 long strips.
Combine the ground beef, chopped pepperoni, parsley, garlic, egg, Italian breadcrumbs, milk, seasoned salt, Italian seasoning, and black pepper together in a mixing bowl.
Divide the meat mixture into 4 equal amounts and form each into oval patties on wax paper.
Place the cheese strips in the middle of two of the meatloaf patties, divided evenly.
Top each with another patty and seal the edges very well so that no cheese is exposed and they are shaped into two loaves. Some cheese may escape during baking anyway.
Place the two loaves onto a small rimmed baking sheet sprayed with non-stick spray and place in the oven. Bake for 40 minutes.
Remove the meatloaves from the oven and allow to rest for 10 minutes.
At the same time, add the pizza sauce to a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook until heated through, stirring occasionally.
Pour the warm pizza sauce on top of the meatloaves and serve.
Notes
These meatloaves are very easy to make. We have also made enough for guests and everyone raves over them.
We make two individual loaves. If you want to make one loaf you may need to increase the baking time.
