Easy One Pot American Goulash Recipe for two - one pan, ready in 40 minutes

This easy one pot American Goulash meal is perfect for a dinner for two. It’s beefy, saucy and packed with tomatoes and macaroni. There is no need to precook the pasta and it’s ready in just 40 minutes. You can substitute the beef with ground chicken or turkey.

 

In a medium saucepan, cook onion and ground beef over medium heat until no longer pink. If you’re using fresh diced garlic, add it with the onion. Drain the grease.

  • 1/2 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 yellow onion diced
  • 1 clove garlic minced (from a jar)
  • 15 oz can diced tomatoes un-drained
  • 8 oz can tomato sauce
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3/4 cup elbow macaroni uncooked
