Recipe FAQ's
Yes, they come out nice and tender. You can also pre-brown in a pan them if you prefer.
For the most part, no. However, you can overcook vegetables which is why we add the peas near the end.

I haven’t made the beef stew recipe yet because the video says adding tomato paste but nothing in the actual recipe. How much tomato paste gets added?

Hi Barbara, thank you for catching that. I have fixed the recipe. It is 1 tablespoon of tomato paste. :)

Absolutely delicious. I am a big fan of thyme and I love that it was used in this recipe. I love carrots, so I doubled the amount the recipe called for. Celery adds additional flavor to a stew so I added 2 ribs. I am sure the recipe would be just as good without the celery if you're not a fan. If using regular beef broth, omit the salt. This recipe made two large serving. We serve it with some crusty bread. My husband really enjoyed the stew. This was so easy to throw together. I will be making this again!! Thank You for sharing your recipe with us.

Hi Lynn, Cook on low for 3 1/2 hours. Add the flour to a bowl then add about 1/2 cup of cooking liquid and whisk until smooth. Stir the flour mixture into the stew and add the peas to the crock pot. Stir to combine. Cook on low for 30 minutes. Remove the bay leaf and serve. Thanks for your question :)

I Kathleen, I did a quick search and also could not find one meant for a 2 qt crock pot. So I found one meant for 4 qt and cut the ingredients in half. Please keep in mind I have not tested this myself but here is the recipe already cut in half. I hope it helps.
EASY CROCKPOT BEEF TIPS WITH GRAVY
PREP TIME: 2 1/2 minutes COOK TIME: 3 1/2 hours 5 minutes TOTAL TIME: 3 1/2 hours 10 minutes SERVES: 3
1 lb beef stew meat 1/2 of a 10.75 oz can condensed cream of mushroom soup 1/2 of a .88 oz packet brown gravy mix 1/2 cup beef broth 1/2 small onion diced 1 clove of garlic minced 1/2 Tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 1/2 Tablespoon water Optional: Egg noodles or mashed potatoes prepared.
In a medium bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup, gravy mix, beef broth, onion and garlic. Whisk together. Place your stew meat into a 2 quart crockpot. Pour gravy mixture over beef and gently stir to combine. Cook covered on LOW for 7 hours. Once done cooking, remove beef with a slotted spoon and set aside. Stir in cornstarch/water mixture (this will thicken up the gravy.) Replace beef back into crockpot and continue cooking for 5 more minutes while gravy thickens.
