  • 2 medium baking apples (see notes)
  • 1 Tablespoon granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • teaspoon nutmeg
  • teaspoon salt
  • 2 Tablespoon salted caramel topping (or regular caramel topping)
  • ¼ cup light brown sugar (packed)
  • ¼ cup rolled oats (uncooked)
  • cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 Tablespoon unsalted butter (plus more for coating the dishes)
  • Vanilla Ice Cream or Whipped Cream for topping (optional – not included in calorie count)

Instructions
 

  • Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Lightly coat two 20 oz oven safe dishes with butter.
  • Cut the butter into small pieces and set aside.
