How to make Chinese Broccoli Stir Fry
Fill a medium saucepan with water and bring to a boil.
Add the ramen noodles and cook for 3 minutes, breaking them apart with a wooden spoon as they cook.
Drain and rinse with cold water and set aside.
In a medium bowl, combine the ground ginger, jarred minced garlic, low sodium soy sauce, warm water, packed light brown sugar, corn starch, sesame oil, seasoning packet from the ramen soup, and black pepper and stir to combine.
On a cutting board, chop the broccoli into bite-sized pieces.
Slice the sirloin into thin slices.
Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
Add ½ tablespoon olive oil, broccoli and 1 tablespoon water. Cover with a lid and cook for 4 minutes, stirring occasionally until crisp and tender.
Transfer the broccoli to a separate dish.
Increase the skillet heat to medium-high heat and add ½ tablespoon olive oil.
Add the beef slices and cook for about 1 minute per side or just until browned, then reduce the heat to medium-low.
Pour the sauce into the skillet and simmer for 3 minutes to thicken, stirring occasionally.
Return the broccoli to the pan along with the cooked ramen noodles and toss to combine until coated with the sauce.
Garnish with sesame seeds and chives and serve.

I made this recipe tonight and it was delicious. I couldn’t help but think it was a little bit salty, I’m sure because of the seasoning packet from the noodles. Just wondering if it would be feasible to only use a little of the packet instead of the entire contents, and not affect the taste too much? I really enjoy your recipes, as I am a widow, and it leaves me with leftovers so I get a break from cooking every night.

Hi Marijean, yes you can absolutely adjust the seasoning amount to suit your own taste. Thank you for your question :)
