Ingredients

  • 1 cup uncooked egg noodles
  • 4 ounces fresh mushrooms
  • ½ of a small onion
  • ½ pound ground beef
  • 1 clove jarred minced garlic
  • cup flour
  • 1 cup low-sodium beef broth
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • cup sour cream
  • Optional – parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Dice the onion and slice the mushrooms.
  • Cook the egg noodles according to the package directions.
  • At the same time, brown the ground beef and onion in a large skillet over medium heat until no pink remains in the beef. Drain the fat and return the beef and onions to the skillet.
  • Add the sliced mushrooms and garlic to the pan and cook about 3 minutes. Stir in the flour and cook about 1 more minute.
  •  Add the broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to medium low and simmer about 10 minutes.
  • Remove the beef mixture from the heat and stir in the sour cream and egg noodles. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired, and serve.
