Ground Beef Mushroom Stroganoff Recipe
Equipment
Ingredients
- 1 cup uncooked egg noodles
- 4 ounces fresh mushrooms
- ½ of a small onion
- ½ pound ground beef
- 1 clove jarred minced garlic
- ⅛ cup flour
- 1 cup low-sodium beef broth
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- ⅓ cup sour cream
- Optional – parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Dice the onion and slice the mushrooms.
- Cook the egg noodles according to the package directions.
- At the same time, brown the ground beef and onion in a large skillet over medium heat until no pink remains in the beef. Drain the fat and return the beef and onions to the skillet.
- Add the sliced mushrooms and garlic to the pan and cook about 3 minutes. Stir in the flour and cook about 1 more minute.
- Add the broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to medium low and simmer about 10 minutes.
- Remove the beef mixture from the heat and stir in the sour cream and egg noodles. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired, and serve.
