Cook the egg noodles according to the package directions.
At the same time, brown the ground beef and onion in a large skillet over medium heat until no pink remains in the beef. Drain the fat and return the beef and onions to the skillet.
Add the sliced mushrooms and garlic to the pan and cook about 3 minutes. Stir in the flour and cook about 1 more minute.
Add the broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to medium low and simmer about 10 minutes.
Remove the beef mixture from the heat and stir in the sour cream and egg noodles. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired, and serve.
