How to make Crockpot Chicken Tikka Masala
Dice the onion and place it in the bottom of a 4-quart slow cooker crock pot. Click for a 4 quart crockpot.
Dice the chicken and place it on top of the onion.
Pour the tomato sauce over the chicken.
In a small bowl mix the garlic, ginger, curry powder, garam masala, paprika, salt, pepper, and turmeric.
Sprinkle the Tikka Masala spice mix over the tomato sauce in the crockpot and gently stir together.
Place the lid on the slow cooker and cook for 7 - 8 hours on low or 3 - 4 hours on high.
When the chicken is almost done cooking, prepare the rice according to the package directions.
Pour coconut milk into chicken and sauce, stirring all to combine.
Serve the chicken mixture over rice and top with fresh parsley if desired.

- 8 ounces tomato sauce
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- ¼ teaspoon curry powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- ¼ teaspoon paprika
- ⅛ teaspoon salt
- ⅛ teaspoon pepper
- ⅛ teaspoon ground turmeric
- 1 cup rice
- ¼ cup full-fat coconut milk
- 1 Tablespoon fresh parsley (optional)
