As a member of a CSA, I receive various fruits and vegetables each week. Last week there was cabbage and onions in the box, so I decided to try this coleslaw recipe to accompany my BBQ pulled chicken sandwiches.
Only made a few tweaks to the recipe: used apple cider vinegar instead of white, added mustard seed to pair with the celery seed, and a dash of Sweet and Hot mustard.
My dining companion gave a thumbs up for this side dish. It is again the perfect quantity for just the two of us. This is being added to my recipe collection. Thanks again for your hard work!

Hi Donovan, I sometimes use apple cider vinegar as well. It's a great option for this coleslaw. I will have to try the addition of the mustard seed as it sounds good too. My husband loves sweet and hot mustard so I will give him your opinion on that one. I expect he will be excited to try that. Thanks for your comment and glad you enjoyed this recipe.

Subbed in white wine vinegar, but very pleased with this one - among the best slaws I've made, nice balance of sweetness. Perfect with spicy fried pork chops for just myself and my partner.

This is the most delicious coleslaw! Both me and my DH are picky about coleslaw, but this one is the right balance of creamy and crunchy and sweet and tangy. My only modification is I use apple cider vinegar instead of white.
