How to make Asian Chicken Salad
For the Chicken
Dice the chicken into bite-sized pieces.
Dust the chicken pieces with the flour and baking powder mix and shake off the excess.
Melt the butter in a large frying pan over medium heat or to 350 degrees in an electric skillet. Click for a 16 inch electric skillet.
Fry the chicken pieces until golden brown. Drain and cool on a paper towel for just a couple of minutes.
For the Oriental Dressing
In a small bowl, mix together the mayo, Dijon mustard, oil, sugar, and vinegar. Whisk until well combined. Click for a whisk.
For the Oriental Salad
Divide the lettuce into two bowls.
Then top with the mandarin oranges.
Add the almonds and chow mein noodles.
Top with the cooked chicken.
Drizzle the dressing all over the salad, serve, and enjoy.

For the Chicken:
- ½ lb boneless chicken
- ⅓ cup flour
- ¼ teaspoon baking powder
- 2 Tablespoons butter
For the Oriental Dressing:
- ¼ cup sugar
- 2 Tablespoons Cider Vinegar
- ¼ cup Mayonnaise
- 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
- ¼ teaspoon Canola oil
For the Salad:
- 3 cups romaine lettuce (artisan, or iceberg)
- 8 oz can mandarin oranges (drained)
- ¼ cup almonds sliced (or slivered)
- ¼ cup chow mein noodles
Instructions

Do you have a homemade fry mix? I do not buy drakes crispy fry mix.

Hi Fina, I don't have a homemade fry mix but you could try this instead. It won't have the same flavor as the Drake's mix but should give you a nice flavorful crunchy breading on the chicken pieces.
