How to make Chicken Broccoli Casserole
Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Spray two 18.6 oz oven safe baking dishes with non-stick spray. Click for 18.6 oz baking dishes.
Chop the broccoli into bite-sized pieces and set aside.

Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces and set aside.

Cut the bacon into ½ inch pieces and cook and stir in a frying pan until done but not too crispy.

Drain the bacon on paper towel and set aside. Leave the grease in the pan.
Cook the diced chicken in the pan with the bacon grease just until browned on all sides, about 2 – 3 minutes.

In a medium sauce pan, over low heat, melt the butter.
Whisk in the flour and salt until smooth.

Slowly add the milk and continue whisking constantly until thickened and starts to simmer. Let simmer 1-2 minutes, and then remove from heat.

Fold in the chicken, half of the bacon, the broccoli, and the Swiss cheese. Combine gently until cheese starts to melt slightly.

Add the beaten egg and continue to stir gently to combine.

Pour into prepared baking dishes, divided evenly, and top with the crumbled bacon.

Bake for 35 minutes.

- 3 slices bacon
- 1 Tbsp butter
- 1 Tbsp flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt

- 1 egg (beaten)
