Slow Cooker Turkey Breast with Gravy

This Easy Slow Cooker Turkey Breast with Gravy is juicy, tender and delicious. A boneless turkey breast is slow cooked in a crock pot and topped with delicious creamy homemade gravy.

This dish is perfect for a holiday celebration with a couple friends, Thanksgiving or Christmas for two, or a weeknight meal with lunch for the next day.

How to make Boneless Turkey Breast in a Crockpot

For the Boneless Turkey Breast

Remove and discard any packaging and netting from the turkey breast.

Place the thawed turkey breast in the bottom of a 4-quart crock pot, skin side up. Click for a 4 quart slow cooker Crockpot.

Add the chicken broth.

Spread the minced garlic over the top of the turkey.

Sprinkle salt and fresh cracked black pepper over top.

Cut the onion into rings and layer on top of the turkey.

Cover and cook on low for 8 hours and do not open the lid.

Line a broiler pan with foil and spray with non-stick spray and pre-heat the broiler.

Leave the onions and broth in the crockpot and carefully remove the cooked turkey to the broiler pan, skin side up, and set aside.

For the Homemade Gravy

Turn the crock pot to high heat.

Add the butter to the broth in the crock pot, and stir until melted.

Whisk together the cornstarch with the water until a smooth slurry forms, and then whisk into the turkey drippings inside the crock pot.

Simmer for about 15 minutes or until thickened, whisking occasionally.

At the same time, broil the turkey for about 5 – 7 minutes or until lightly browned. Watch it closely so it doesn’t burn.

Ingredients

For the Turkey:

  • 3 lb boneless turkey breast (thawed)
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 3 cloves minced garlic
  • Salt and fresh cracked black pepper
  • 1 sweet onion

For the Gravy:

  • 2 Tablespoons butter
  • 2 Tablespoons cornstarch
  • 3 Tablespoons water

Instructions

I have a 6 lb bone in turkey breast. Would I cook it for the same amount of time?

Hi Rose, yes cook on low for 8 hours. I used a 4 quart crock pot. You may need a larger crock pot as well. Thank you for your question :)
