How to make Cinnamon Biscuits
For the biscuits
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
In a bowl combine the flour, baking powder, salt, baking soda, and sugar.
Blend in shortening with a fork or pastry cutter until the mixture is fine crumbs.

Add the milk and stir until just mixed. Only add enough milk to form the dough.
Fold in the raisins.

Add the cinnamon and mix until just swirled through the batter. Do not over-mix.

Scrape the batter onto a well-floured surface. Flour the top and cut the dough in half.

Press each half into a 2-inch cutter to shape.

Place biscuits, bottom side up, on a parchment paper lined baking sheet.

Bake 10 – 12 minutes until golden brown.
For the glaze
Place the confectioner’s sugar in a small bowl and slowly stir in the milk and vanilla, a little at a time, to make a smooth, pour-able glaze.

Pour the powdered sugar glaze over the biscuits.

Serve and enjoy!

These are so good and easy to make. I love that they are Small Batch. I made a batch with Raisins and another batch with Cinnamon Chips. Just don't know which one I like better. Gave the recipe to a RVing Friend. Her Hubby loved them. Going to be the new traveling recipe.
So glad I found Zona Cooks. (My Hubby is too)
