Ground Beef Fajita

Substitutions and additions

Ground turkey and ground chicken can be used in place of ground beef.

Try adding a dash of chili powder or cayenne pepper.

Step 1 – On a cutting board, cut the onion and bell peppers into strips.

Step 2 – In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the ground beef and fajita seasoning. Cook and stir, breaking up the beef into small pieces until just browned and cooked through.

Step 3 – Use a slotted spoon to remove the ground beef to a bowl and set aside.

Step 4 – In the same skillet place the bell peppers and onions inside. Stir-fry for about 5 minutes, or until tender-crisp.

Step 5 – Add the seasoned ground beef back into the skillet just long enough to reheat. Stir together or leave apart.

Step 7 – Sprinkle with cilantro and serve in fajita-sized flour tortillas.
