How to make Banana Oat Dessert

Step 1 – Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2 – Mash the bananas in a large bowl using the back of a fork or use a stand mixer. Try to get it as smooth as possible.

Step 3 – Stir in peanut butter, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until combined.

Step 4 – Add the quick oats, cinnamon, baking powder, and any optional add-ins. Stir to combine.

Step 5 – Spray an 8×8 inch square baking pan with non-stick spray and pour the oatmeal batter into the prepared pan.

Step 6 – Bake for 20-22 minutes on the center rack of the preheated oven. Remove, cool completely, and cut into 9, 12, or 16 bars.

  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1-3/4 cups instant oats
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • Optional add-ins: ½ cup chocolate chips, fruit, or sweetened shredded coconut
