For the Cream Cheese Frosting:

cream cheese

Instructions
For the Cake:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Spray two 7 ounce ramekins with non-stick cooking spray and set aside.
In the bowl of a stand mixer, cream together the butter and sugar.
Add the mashed banana and vanilla. Mix until combined well.
Mix in the egg.
Add the flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix until just combined. Do not over mix.
Pour the batter into the prepared dishes, divided evenly between the two.
Bake for 20-25 minutes. The cakes will be done when a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Place the ramekins onto a cooling rack and allow the cakes to cool completely.
For the Cream Cheese Frosting:
In the bowl of a stand mixer, mix the cream cheese until smooth.
Mix in the powdered sugar and vanilla extract.
Spread the cream cheese frosting over the cooled cakes.
Sprinkle the tops with chocolate chips, chopped pecans, or walnuts if desired.
