For the Glaze

Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Spray 4 slots of a donut pan with non-stick spray.
In a small bowl whisk together the milk and vinegar. This makes homemade buttermilk. Set aside for about 5 minutes.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, special dark cocoa powder, and baking soda.
In a separate bowl, mix together the homemade buttermilk, sugar, egg yolk, butter, and vanilla until well combined.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
Pour the batter into the donut pan. Bake the donuts for 8-10 minutes or until cooked through. Allow the donuts to cool completely on a wire rack.
Place the chocolate chips, butter, corn syrup, and water in a medium bowl.
Melt in 20 second increments in the microwave, stirring after each time, until completely melted and smooth.
Dip the tops of the donuts into the chocolate glaze
