This 4 Ingredient Beer Cheese Dip is so tasty, super addicting, easy to make in just 5 steps and 5 minutes, and it’s low-carb. The combination of beer, blue cheese, cream cheese, and diced onion is delicious! This creamy dip is perfect for any party, get-together, game day, football party, big game, or backyard barbecue.
On a cutting board, dice the onion and green onion into small pieces. Set the green onion aside for garnish.
In the bowl of a stand mixer (or mixing bowl and hand mixer) combine the onion, cream cheese, and blue cheese.
Add in small amounts of beer at a time until you reach the consistency you like.
Sprinkle green onion on top of the dip for garnish if desired.
Cover and chill in the fridge for an hour or two or transfer to a serving dish and serve immediately.
Notes
Potato chips, corn chips, soft pretzels, celery sticks, broccoli florets, or carrot sticks are all good options for dipping. Try adding it to your charcuterie board.
This dish is great as an appetizer or as a side dish option for lunch or dinner. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for 1 to 2 weeks.
You can use any type of beer. Lighter beers, such as lagers, ales, and pilsners, will give your dip a lighter color, and mild taste that just about everyone loves. Dark beers like stout beer and porters make a darker-colored dip and have a stronger beer flavor. Hoppy beers like IPAs will give the dip a slightly more bitter taste.
