This Surf N Turf Burger is made with a ground sirloin beef patty topped with butter and chive seared shrimp, arugula, and creamy pesto mayo sauce. Ready in just 15 minutes!
8– 10 medium shrimp(recommend buying already peeled, deveined, and tails removed)
Instructions
In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise and the pesto and set aside.
Heat a grill or frying pan for direct medium-high heat.
Form the ground sirloin into two round burger patties and season with some salt and pepper.
Grill or fry the sirloin burgers 3 – 4 minutes on each side or until done to your preference.
Pre heat a medium skillet to medium-high.
Add butter and cook until the butter has melted.
Add the chives, 1/8 teaspoon salt, 1/8 teaspoon pepper and the shrimp to pan. Cook for 2 minutes.
Turn the shrimp over and cook for an additional 2 minutes or until shrimp is opaque and cooked through.
Spread half of the pesto mayo onto each hamburger bun bottom, followed by arugula, the sirloin burgers, the shrimp, and the hamburger bun top. Serve and enjoy!
