This easy Ham Salad Sandwich recipe combines leftover ham, hard-boiled egg, mayonnaise, sweet pickle relish, mustard, celery, onion and seasonings. This ham salad spread is perfect for that leftover holiday ham but you can also use ham steaks. Ready in just 5 minutes!

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces fully cooked ham
  • 1 hard-boiled egg (optional)
  • 1 celery stalk
  • ¼ of a small onion
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 Tablespoon sweet pickle relish
  • ½ teaspoon yellow mustard
  • Salt and black pepper to taste.
  • 2 sandwich rolls (or several crackers)

Instructions
 

  • Place the ham, hard boiled egg, celery, and onion in a food processor and pulse until finely chopped.
  • Combine the ham mixture, mayonnaise, sweet pickle relish, and mustard in a large bowl. Mix until well combined.
  • Taste the ham salad and add salt and black pepper if needed.
  • Refrigerate until time to serve, 1 – 2 hours is best for flavor.
  • Serve on sandwich rolls or crackers.

Notes

  • If using the hard boiled egg, the time to make this recipe will increase.
  • If you want a little kick, try adding horseradish.
  • This recipe is ready in just 5 minutes but for best flavor plan to chill in the fridge for 1 – 2 hours.
