Ingredients
6Tablespoonsbutter
2teaspoonsground cinnamon
1cupall-purpose flour
1 ¼cupsugar
1cupmilk
1teaspoonbaking powder
3cupscanned sliced peaches(drained)
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Melt the butter and pour it into an 8x8-inch baking dish.
Sprinkle the cinnamon over the butter.
Whisk the flour, sugar, milk, and baking powder in a bowl until combined.
Pour the batter over the melted butter, but do not stir it.
Place the peach slices on top of the batter in an even layer.
Bake for about 1 hour or until golden brown and cooked through.
Allow the peach cobbler to cool for about 15 minutes before serving.
Notes
For this cobbler, canned peaches work the best. But you can use fresh peaches. To use fresh you would need to peel, core, and cut 3 peaches into slices. Then add it to a pan with an additional 1/3 cup of sugar and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. Bring to a boil over high heat, stirring constantly. Follow all my other steps in order, adding these cooked peaches during step 6 in place of the canned peaches.
Store leftover peach cobbler in an airtight container in the fridge for 4-5 days.
