Salted Caramel Apple Crisp

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly coat 2 dishes with butter.  Cut 2 tbsp. butter into small pieces and set aside. Peel, core, and dice apples.

Combine the apples, granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt in a large bowl and toss to coat. Stir in the salted caramel sauce.

Place the apple mixture in the two baking dishes divided evenly.

In another bowl, mix together the brown sugar, oats, and flour until evenly combined. With a fork, blend in the butter pieces until small clumps form and the butter is incorporated.

Sprinkle the topping evenly over the apples. Place dishes on a baking sheet and bake until the topping is crispy and the apples are tender, about 45 minutes.

Let the apple crisps cool on a rack about 15 minutes before serving. Top with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream if desired.
