Season the steak with some fajita seasoning on both sides. Cook in pre-heated skillet about 5 – 7 minutes on each side. Transfer the steak to a cutting board and set aside to rest.
Add water to the skillet. Sprinkle in the fajita seasoning. Stir together until sauce thickens.
Turn off heat. Drizzle lime juice over the cooked fajita mixture. Stir to incorporate.
Place tortilla chips spread out in a layer on a baking sheet or oven safe platter. Top the chips with the steak fajita mixture and the shredded cheese.
